William H. Natcher, 84, a Kentucky Democrat known for arecord-setting 18,401 consecutive House roll-call votes, died Tuesdayin Washington, D.C. His streak came to an end after his last vote onMarch 2, when he left a hospital bed to be wheeled onto the Housefloor on a gurney for the last time. Albert Goldman, 66, whose biographies of Elvis Presley and JohnLennon infuriated their fans, died Monday in New York.
