QLD:Law firm eyes class action over Qld dam

BRISBANE, Feb 3 AAP - A law firm is investigating a class action against the Queensland
government over the operation of Wivenhoe Dam during the state's flood crisis.

Maurice Blackburn principal Damian Scattini says evidence at the reconvened flood inquiry
this week raises serious questions about how the dam was operated before Brisbane and
other communities flooded last year.

The dam is operated by the Queensland government authority SEQwater. Any finding of
negligence against the authority would expose the government to an enormous damages …
