Qld: New chair for Queensland Law Reform Commission

BRISBANE, Dec 21 AAP - Supreme Court judge Roslyn Atkinson has been appointed the new
chair of the Queensland Law Reform Commission.

Justice Atkinson will begin a three-year term on January 1.

She was appointed a Supreme Court judge in Queensland in 1998.

Justice Atkinson was previously first president of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Tribunal.

The law reform commission reviews areas of law in need of reform and makes recommendations
to state parliament.
